All Atlantic mortice knobs are unsprung and must be fitted with a heavy duty double sprung tubular latch for smooth operation. To ensure the best fit, select a latch with a sufficient backset to distance the knob from the door frame. For fire door frames, we recommend 4” heavy duty latches, while 3” latches are suitable for standard frames.
